Description:

Stratford Engineering was involved in the design process for a brand new, fully interactive centerpiece for the Smithsonian Institute's new experience to celebrate the Smithsonian's 175th Anniversary. The unique centerpiece has a plexiglass exterior with LED light fixtures towards the top of the piece.

Stratford worked closely with Reddymade to frame the new sculpture using steel beams towards the base and a larger steel post to frame the LED light fixtures and central totem above. Stratford Engineering also analyzed the existing structure for the anticipated loading information.
