This project consisted of the conversion of an existing 19th century textile mill building into a new charter school in Paterson, NJ. Extensive modifications included a new elevator and masonry stair shafts, repair to the existing slab-on-grade, reinforcement and repair of the existing brick, steel, and wood structure, replacement of damaged joists, construction of a new stage, and installation of significant rooftop equipment dunnage. Care was taken to preserve the historic character of the existing building while updating it to meet the needs of a cutting edge educational program.<\/article>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
