What was an early 20th century two-story brick warehouse was converted into flagship retail space on the ground floor, office space on the second floor, and a new walk-able deck on the roof. Stratford Engineering was brought on to design multiple new openings\u00a0 in the existing masonry walls to bring natural light into the new space and add a connection between the new space and the surrounding community.<\/p>\n

New lateral support system was designed to maintain stability of the structure with the addition of the new openings. This involved a new steel moment frame at the rear elevation with new footings. Additionally, new dunnage framing was added to the roof of the structure to support new mechanical units.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
