An existing three story factory building being used as an arts center is undergoing a gut renovation to bring the building to the 21st century. Multiple studies for different framing configurations and scopes of work were developed for the client aiming to keep the project within budget. Structurally, our scope consisted of column removals, dropping of the 1st floor to match sidewalk elevation, a new stair core, a rooftop terrace, and repairs to the century & year old building. Additionally, our office oversaw extensive geotechnical investigations when poor soil conditions were uncovered by the previous design team.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
