An existing 4 story building and parking lot were demolished to create twin 4,500 square foot two story retail buildings. Structural framing consists of reinforced concrete basement walls, composite slab on steel beams, and reinforced CMU load bearing walls at the property lines. In order to eliminate the need for spray fireproofing and allowing the beams to be architecturally exposed, a partial basement and reduced 2nd floor plate was provided to keep square footage to a minimum. Reclaimed brick facades blend the new construction in seamlessly with the surrounding neighborhood.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
