Stratford Engineering assisted architect Tina Manis in this gut-out renovation and addition to an existing 3-story townhouse building in the Park Slope area of Brooklyn. A key component of the work consisted of the removal of the rear wall on the ground and first floor and the construction of a new exposed steel trellis structure to visually connect the indoor and outdoor spaces. The result is an airy, free-flowing, and modern space equally suited to everyday living and entertaining.Stratford Engineering has extensive experience in the renovation of brownstones and other historic building types.
