Stratford Engineering has an immediate opportunity for a full-time intermediate level structural engineer with 2-7 years of experience at our downtown New York City office. Responsibilities of the position include:

• Develop structural construction documents for commercial, institutional and residential buildings with various structural designs consisting of steel, light gauge steel, concrete, timber and masonry.
• Perform structural analysis using engineering software.
• Review shop drawings.
• Perform site inspections & surveys.
• Communicate with clients and other consultants regarding projects.

The requirements for the position are as follows:

• Bachelor or Master's degree in structural engineering. (Bachelor's required, Master's preferred)
• 2-7 years of experience in the design of steel, concrete, masonry, and wood structures.
• Working knowledge of building codes.
• Ability to manage projects to meet schedules and deliverables.
• Strong technical and communication skills, exceptional attention to detail.
• Proficient with engineering software: RAM, Revit, AutoCAD, Excel, ETABS, PCA Slab, etc.
• Proficient in written and verbal English.

Must be available and eligible to work in the United States; Visa sponsorship is not available.
