The Merc Hotel adapts and enlarges the historic Mercantile Library of New York into a contemporary 16 story, 58 key boutique hotel. The eight-story roof-top addition consists of a
steel superstructure and folded glass curtain wall along with new footings and wind/seismic bracing.
