Extensive renovations to an existing commercial building in a prime Chinatown location, consisting of two phases. The first phase included replacement of the existing freight elevator with a new passenger elevator (including a new bulkhead) and lowering the lobby to meet street level. The second phase included reinforcement of the ground floor framing, underpinning of existing foundation, lowering of existing basement slab, new stairs, vault repair, complete sidewalk replacement, and openings in existing basement party walls.
