Description:
2 Pike Street is a 14-story tower set in lower Manhattan between the Manhattan Bridge and Williamsburg Bridge. The mixed-use tower has three sub-grade parking levels, commercial retail space on the ground floor, restaurant space and banquet hall on the second and third floor, and office space on he remaining floors above.
Stratford Engineering was in charge of designing the building's foundation and superstructure. The structure has three sub-grade levels consisting of cast-in-place concrete. The superstructure was designed with a structural steel frame combined with a cast-in-place concrete shear wall lateral system to allow for an open floor plan and glass curtain walls along the three street-side frontages.
